Fred G. Morgner holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Minnesota.

He was among the first group of Peace Corps volunteers in Chile in 1961.

Fred held a position with the Department of History at Syracuse University in the mid 1960's, before his adventuresome spirit took him back to Latin America where he has been traveling extensively for almost thirty years.

Dr. Morgner has been a member of SALALM since 1986 and is presently the chairman of the Committee on Marginalized People and Ideas.

Fred's special interests are body surfing, skiing and cooking.
